This is not D-log siding, but solid 6’x 12’ pre-milled logs that are cut to length for your package. ![]() Solid lap siding for dormers and gable ends, gives it the Craftsman look. The individually milled logs include a v-groove radius to each piece. Some of the earliest known examples of the dovetail joint are in ancient Egyptian furniture entombed with mummies dating from the First Dynasty. This method and technique predate written history. The dovetail joint provides considerable mechanical strength because when the joint is assembled, it can't be twisted or racked.
